It could only be one of just a few things… but my money is on a DoS attack.
UPDATE: Tek says the “server was down“. Well no shit, Sherlock. It might be interesting to see how (or if) he explains this once they get it back up. Perhaps he should call naked_valor for a good cover story.
UPDATE: Ok, Ok… so Tek says he didn’t pay his hosting bill on time. That makes as much sense as anything. One must admit, though, given the timing of this outage with respect to other goings-on out there, that while TNA was 404ing it seemed that any damn thing was possible.
As an aside… since TNA changed domains and (supposedly) moved to a new server, reliability has gone into the toilet.

Tek says he didn’t pay his bill on time, and that’s about as credible or, really, quite a bit more credible than any other theory. I’m going to post an update shortly, linking to Tek’s side of the story.
But, quite frankly, I can think of at least two or three people who would cheerfully send a DoS Tek’s way if they were able and thought they could get away with it.

So the truth is that this board that you always excoriate is having trouble paying its bills? Probably atttempts to increase or maintain revenue explain the ethical lapses you have written about. What is the betting it disappears from the ether pretty soon?
